Processing of Bistatic SAR Data With Nonlinear Trajectory Using a Controlled-SVD Algorithm

The nonlinear trajectory and bistatic characteristics of general synthetic aperture radar (SAR) can cause severe two-dimensional space-variance in the echo signal, therefore it is difficult to focus signal directly using traditional frequency-domain imaging algorithm based on assumption azimuth translational invariance. At present, state-of-the-art singular value decomposition (SVD), which has problem that SVD may be not controlled, thus lead a high complexity or low accuracy. Therefore, this article proposes SAR controlled (CSVD). First, chirp scaling used correct range space-variance, then decompose remaining space-variant phase, first two feature components after are integrated make them represented by new component. Finally, component for interpolation space-variance. simulation results show proposed CSVD further improve image quality compared with SVD-Stolt.
